We recommend booking your trial 2-3 months prior to your wedding day.  At the time of the trial we like to finalize headcount, timing and all day of details, so having trials too far in advance prevents accuracy. 

Yes, we offer both hair and makeup for your event. Please let us know what you are interested in when you contact us or are filling out our special event form.

Each artist can do approximatley 8 people comfortably provided we have enough time.  It all depends on what time you have to be ready by. Adding additional artists may be necessary and add an additional fee.  Those  accommodations will be made on an individual basis.

We are proud to say that we do not have any minimums for services!

Please allow 30/45 minutes per person per service.  Ideally, we don't need an individualized schedule.  If your party is ready to go with dry hair and clean faces, the getting ready process will be quick and seamless!  Our skilled artists are there to walk the party through every step of the way. 

In order for you to secure a stylist(s) for your wedding day  we require that you sign our bridal contract and pay a $250 deposit.  This assures us both that our commitment on your wedding day is upheld.  In order to secure a  stylist(s) for your special event you must also sign a contract with us  but a deposit isn't always required.  These contracts lock in your date on our calendar and secures a stylists for all of your beauty needs on your big day.

Once we have received your SPECIAL EVENT FORM we will contact you.  When we both confirm the information provided was correct and you want to go ahead with securing artists for your wedding day, we will send you a bridal contract to reveiw, sign and send back.  When we receive that along with your deposit, you're set to go!

We’re happy to edit the information in your contract regarding the card on file as long as we have the updated card by the Wednesday prior to the event.

We expect changes!  Don’t panic.  We can modify up until 2 weeks prior to the event.

The final balance for all services plus gratuity will be charged to the single credit card on file the Wednesday prior to the event.   At this time, final headcount is due.

At the time the bridal contract is signed, a $250 nonrefundable deposit is taken. This inital deposit will secure your stylist(s)  for your wedding day as well as cover the cost of your trial.  The remainder will be put towards the overall cost of your hair and makeup services provided. 

The $250 deposit is nonrefundable but we’re not satisfied unless you’re satisfied. If you are unhappy with how your hair or makeup trial turned out,   A. Marie Hair Company would provide another one with the same or different artists-it'd be your prefererence.  If you were still not satisfied we would work with you directly to figure out the next steps.

Yes.  You’ll be receiving the same services for the trial that you would be on your wedding day.  The cost for your trial will come out of your initial $250 deposit you paid to secure your date.

Unfortunately, no.   We do require a contract prior to scheduling a trial in order to guarantee artists for the date you’ve requested.  If for some reason you weren’t completely satisfied at the trial we would work with you directly to figure out the next steps.

You’ll be with the artists for about 2 hours if your trial is for both hair and makeup (approximately 1 hour per service).  You’ll be communicating all of your inspirations to your hair and makeup team to make sure you absolutely love your look when they are done!

Yes, we are happy to travel to you for your trial as well as on your wedding day!

There will be a travel fee for any event further then 30miles from Kankakee, IL.  The fee is $0.75/mile.

No. Our freelancers provide the same level of service regardless of the situation.  We do not offer discounts for our services regardless of date, location or headcount.

Technician parking is required.  We do not charge a travel fee as long as the services are within 30 miles of our salon, rather we charge parking for the artists.  If you’re getting ready at a hotel, valet parking is required.  If you’re getting ready in a home, street/metered/parking garage parking is required.  Check with your hotel as many hotels will compensate vendor parking.

Gratuity is not included in the service price but we do add 20% gratuity to the grand total on the contract which will be taken care of the week of the wedding.  No funds or gratuity are taken on site.

For safety purposes, we are unable to accept cash on site.

The makeup artist will need a higher bar height chair or stool and the hairstylist needs a normal desk or table height chair. They will typically arrive and rearrange the furniture to find the best lighting and the most comfortable set up for you and your bridal party.

As long as timing allows, we are happy to provide additional services.  The additional services will be charged to the card on file 2 business days after your event.

Airbrush versus traditional makeup is a personal preference.  Airbrush makeup is a water based makeup that can be a bit more full coverage whereas traditional makeup is a bit more natural.  Your makeup artist can assess your skin and give recommendations at the time of your trial.

Absolutely!  Any add-ons or upgrades will be charged to the card on file 2 business days after your event.

Yes.  If you have someone who would like lashes without a makeup application the lashes are $10 and can be paid directly to the artist on the day of or can be added to the contract.

If you have a set of lashes that you love you’re more than welcome to use your own lashes.  However, the lash application is still at the same $10 price point to compensate for the makeup artists' time.

Our beauty team uses a wide range of products from many different brands.  We choose only the highest quality and highest performing  products in our professional kits to create flawless looks for our brides and their parties! 

All products are tested for performance prior to making it into our collection. Please contact us with any questions regarding allergies in your party.

Everyone in your party should have completely dry hair upon arrival.  One day dirty hair is ideal for most hair textures.  If clients have wet hair and require a blowout prior to services, additional charges may occur.

Yes!  If extensions are needed for your look there are clip ins or semi-permanent options available.  A hair extension consultation can also be scheduled during or before your trial if you think the style that you’re trying to achieve will require extensions.  If you're planning to use your own extensions, please make sure the extensions are completely dry and combed through.  Wet or tangled extensions could be charged an additional fee.

Typically, hair curls and styles better in its natural state.  If the hair is flat ironed, the curl may not hold as well.  Our hair stylists are versed in all hair textures so straightening curly hair for ease of styling is typically not necessary.
